The short version
Dayoff stores your account (via Clerk) and the day plans you save. We use your location coordinates to make plans near the place you choose. We don't sell your data, run ads, or track you across the web.
What we collect
- Account info — email and authentication state, handled by Clerk. We never see or store your password.
- Plans you save — title, prompt, list of stops, location label, and weather context at generation time. Stored in our database (Supabase) keyed to your account.
- Location (with your permission) — your browser asks before sharing. We use coordinates to find nearby places and render your position on the map. We don't store raw GPS coordinates in your profile.
- Operational logs — generic request data (timing, errors). Used to debug and keep the service running. Not tied to your identity beyond your account ID.
What we don't do
- No ads. No ad networks. No third-party trackers.
- No selling data to anyone, for any purpose.
- No background location tracking. We only use location while the page is open and you've granted permission.
- No fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking pixels.
Services we use
- Clerk — authentication.
- Supabase — database for plans and profile.
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI) — the model that composes your plan. Your prompt is sent to Gemini; nothing is retained for training.
- Google Maps Platform — venue search, route times, map rendering.
- Tavily — supplementary web search used by the planner.
- Open-Meteo — free weather data, no tracking.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — forward-geocoding a typed place or address.
Your data, your choice
You can delete any saved plan from your library. To delete your account and all associated plans, email hello@mydayoff.app. We'll process the request within 7 days.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date and (for significant changes) email signed-in users. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
